About the Role We're looking for a Lead AWS Developer to join our team and help build a large-scale, enterprise-grade data platform on AWS. This role involves owning the architecture, setting engineering standards, and mentoring the team. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development and optimization of large-scale, reliable, secure data pipelines and data lake architecture on AWS • Architect end-to-end data solutions using Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, Athena and RDS • Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, run code reviews and drive best practices • Partner with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions • Oversee migration from legacy systems to AWS-based data lakes and warehouses • Set and enforce standards for data quality, security and governance • Drive DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code adoption across the team • Keep solutions cost-effective and performant, aligned to enterprise data strategy • Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide technical leadership in problem resolution Requirements • 12+ years in data engineering, with at least 3 in a technical leadership / lead engineer role • Extensive hands-on AWS data services — Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR/Spark, Kinesis, Athena, RDS, API Gateway • Strong Python and SQL — Shell scripting and Scala a plus • Designing, implementing and managing data lakes, warehouses and ingestion pipelines on AWS • ETL/ELT, data modeling and big data frameworks • DevOps, CI/CD and IaC — CloudFormation, Terraform • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach engineers • Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering or a related field
