About the Role We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect to join our team in the midstream oil and gas industry. This role involves implementing cloud data architecture and leading technical projects. Key Responsibilities • Implement cloud data architecture solutions • Lead technical projects and mentor junior team members • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data modernization Requirements • 7–10 years of cloud data architecture implementation experience • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience • Extensive Databricks experience • Proficiency with AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, SageMaker, Bedrock, and Step Functions • Experience with Alation data governance • Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and experience with Python, PySpark, Pandas, DAX, Power Query (M), and PL/SQL • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and Teradata • Proficiency with Power BI, Git, VS Code, and SSMS • Strong technical leadership and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • AWS and Databricks certifications • Cloud migration and data modernization leadership experience • Data governance, security, and compliance experience • Experience mentoring data engineers and architects
