About the Role We are seeking a Lead Golang Engineer to join our team in the fintech, payments, and banking domain. This role involves designing and optimizing concurrent backend microservices and building durable, fault-tolerant workflows. Key Responsibilities • Design and optimize concurrent backend microservices in Go or Java • Build durable, fault-tolerant workflows using Temporal for long-running integrations • Develop strongly typed APIs and data contracts using gRPC and Protocol Buffers • Deploy and manage cloud-native services using AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform • Integrate secure authentication and Open Banking APIs while meeting enterprise security standards • Implement automated testing, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and secure deployment practices • Improve backend performance, reliability, and real-time data synchronization Requirements • Strong proficiency in Golang (preferred) or Java, with experience building concurrent, high-performance backend services • Hands-on production experience with Temporal or equivalent durable workflow orchestration frameworks • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and high-volume transaction processing • Experience designing contract-first APIs using gRPC and Protocol Buffers • Experience transitioning batch-processing systems to real-time polling or event-driven architectures • Production deployment and management of microservices on AWS, Kubernetes/EKS • Strong understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, automated retries, and shift-left testing
