About the Role We are hiring a Lead Java Backend Developer for an onsite contract role in Cupertino, CA. This position requires local candidates with extensive experience in Java development and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Java and Spring Boot • Utilize AWS cloud services and Kubernetes for deployment and management • Work with event-driven architecture and messaging systems • Maintain and optimize databases including PostgreSQL and Redis caching • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship Requirements • 10+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring Boot • Deep hands-on expertise with AWS cloud and microservices architecture • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines • Strong background in Linux/Unix environments and system observability • Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive engineering best practices
