About the Role We are seeking a Lead Java Developer for a 28-month contract position in Albany, NY. This role requires strong technical leadership and expertise in Java/J2EE development. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement solutions using Java/J2EE technologies • Lead development projects and mentor junior developers • Work with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security • Develop microservices and RESTful APIs • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Requirements • 15+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development • Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security • Proficiency in OOP, Design Patterns, and SOLID Principles • Experience with Hibernate/JPA and database technologies • Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Minimum 2 years of technical leadership experience • Must be local to Albany, NY or within a 25-mile commuting distance • Minimum 2+ years of state or federal government project experience • Health and Human Services (HHS) experience is highly preferred • Integrated Eligibility System (IES) experience is strongly preferred
