About the Role Relevancy Sciences is seeking a hands-on Senior ML Engineer consultant to build, optimize, deploy, and operate production machine learning systems across search and recommender use cases for Kroger’s e-commerce ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Build, optimize, deploy, and operate production machine learning systems • Create reusable pipeline and serving components • Partner with Data Science and Engineering to move models from development into production • Develop and operate machine learning capabilities for search and recommender systems Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field • 4+ years of experience building and operating production machine learning systems • Strong Python and distributed data processing skills with Spark • Experience with deep learning or machine learning frameworks • Hands-on experience with training pipelines, inference systems, and model-serving APIs • Experience with cloud platforms and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes • Understanding of APIs, distributed systems, model lifecycle management, and production reliability
