About the Role We are seeking an experienced ML Architect to join our team for a 6+ month contract. This role involves defining and implementing machine learning architecture on AWS and Databricks platforms. Key Responsibilities • Define the target architecture and roadmap for machine learning on AWS and Databricks • Design and implement scalable, secure, and production-ready ML solutions • Assess current Databricks implementation and recommend improvements • Establish end-to-end ML workflows covering data preparation through retraining • Implement MLOps practices using Databricks and MLflow • Design batch and real-time model-inference solutions • Advise teams on effective use of Databricks capabilities • Integrate Databricks with relevant AWS services • Define reusable architecture patterns and development standards • Establish security, access-control, and governance practices • Optimize workloads for scalability, reliability, and cost • Partner with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and documentation Requirements • Extensive experience designing enterprise ML platforms • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks • Deep knowledge of Databricks Lakehouse architecture • Strong experience with MLflow • Extensive AWS architecture and implementation experience • Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, and observability • Experience deploying batch and real-time inference workloads • Proficiency in Python and SQL with Apache Spark/PySpark • Experience with feature engineering, model evaluation, and responsible AI • Strong knowledge of data security, governance, and regulatory considerations • Ability to translate business requirements into architecture plans • Excellent communication skills
