About the Role Our client is seeking a .NET + AI Developer to build and enhance a document-intelligence platform for a healthcare payer organization. This role involves processing claims-related documents using OCR, LLMs, and .NET-based microservices. Key Responsibilities • Develop .NET-based microservices for document ingestion, classification, extraction, and validation • Implement AI/LLM workflows using OpenAI or Azure OpenAI for claims-related document processing • Integrate OCR, LLMs, and rules-based engines into scalable, auditable pipelines • Work with healthcare payer teams to support claims, EOBs, prior authorizations, and medical record workflows • Ensure all solutions meet HIPAA, compliance, and auditability requirements • Own end-to-end engineering tasks: architecture, development, testing, deployment, and optimization • Collaborate cross-functionally with claims operations, data teams, and cloud engineering Requirements • 5+ years of .NET (C#, .NET versions 8 or 9) development • Experience building APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures • 1+ year hands-on OpenAI / Azure OpenAI (prompting, embeddings, model orchestration) • Experience with document processing: OCR, classification, extraction • Strong understanding of healthcare payer workflows (claims, EOBs, PA packets, medical records) • Azure cloud services: Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Key Vault • SQL Server or Cosmos DB • Ability to design auditable, compliant, HIPAA-aligned AI workflows • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
