About the Role
We are looking for a Network Architect with Azure expertise to join our team. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of network infrastructure and designing secure, scalable network architectures.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessment of GB/BFF network infrastructure and identify dependencies associated with Domain Controllers and Active Directory
• Document current-state network architecture including LAN/WAN architecture, internet connectivity, firewalls, security zones, VLANs, IP addressing, routing, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and network security controls
• Review existing firewall rules, ACLs, routing policies, NAT, VPNs, and other network security configurations
• Identify legacy, redundant, undocumented, or unnecessary network dependencies
• Assess potential IP address overlap, subnet conflicts, DNS dependencies, and routing conflicts
• Design target-state network architecture for independent and secure operating environment
• Develop target-state design for IP addressing, VLAN architecture, routing, firewall/security-zone architecture, internet connectivity, VPN architecture, DNS/DHCP architecture, network segmentation, remote-access architecture, and cloud connectivity
• Ensure architecture supports high availability, scalability, security, and future growth
• Design appropriate segmentation between user networks, server networks, management networks, security infrastructure, guest networks, and critical applications
• Work closely with Active Directory/Identity Architect to identify network requirements for separating Domain Controllers
• Identify required communication flows between Domain Controllers and various systems
• Define required firewall ports, protocols, routes, and network flows
• Develop network requirements for new Domain Controllers
• Validate DNS architecture and name-resolution requirements
• Ensure no unintended network dependencies remain
• Create detailed current-state and target-state network diagrams
• Maintain network topology and connectivity documentation
• Develop various network inventory matrices and document technical decisions
