About the Role We are seeking a Network Security Engineer specializing in micro segmentation and zero trust architecture for a contract-to-hire position. This role requires extensive experience in network security technologies and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities • Implement and manage micro segmentation and zero trust architecture • Configure and maintain network security devices including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Juniper firewalls • Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS systems • Design and implement secure network solutions for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments • Develop and enforce application dependency mapping and segmentation policies Requirements • 10+ years of experience in network security engineering • Expertise in micro segmentation, zero trust architecture, and Guardicore/Akamai solutions • Strong knowledge of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DNS, and DHCP • Experience with SDN, SD-WAN, and load balancing technologies • Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPN, and NAC systems • Preferred certifications: CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP/CISM
