About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Orchestrator Engineer to modernize backend orchestration services, enable ARM64 platform support, and optimize virtualization and memory management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Refactor and port core orchestrator services, including vbin, LSS, LDM, VMAP, and RS, to run natively on ARM platforms.
• Develop Python-based NUMA allocation logic to reduce cross-talk latency on high-core ARM systems.
• Enhance backend APIs and infrastructure capabilities to support nested virtualization and new instance plans.
• Maintain, modernize, and optimize legacy Perl-based services while developing new capabilities using Go and Python.
• Work on Linux systems-level performance, process management, CPU affinity, and memory optimization.
• Collaborate with SRE and QA teams to ensure service reliability, production stability, and seamless deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and contribute to scalable orchestration solutions.
Requirements
• Strong experience in backend cloud infrastructure development, platform engineering, or systems programming.
• Proficiency in Perl, particularly maintaining and refactoring legacy services, along with hands-on development experience in Go and Python.
• Deep understanding of Linux OS internals, process management, memory optimization, and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience with ARM64 architecture, including platform porting, CPU affinity, and NUMA memory allocation.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, VM lifecycle management, and orchestration APIs.
• Experience with nested virtualization, backend service development, production troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of distributed infrastructure systems and production deployment workflows.
