About the Role
We are looking for a performance engineer to validate that a large enterprise application can handle real production traffic before go-live, find bottlenecks, and confirm the existing on-prem hardware has enough capacity.
Key Responsibilities
• Build performance baselines across API, service and UI scenarios
• Create workload models from production traffic data
• Run load and endurance tests using JMeter, Artillery and Playwright
• Assess CPU, memory, database and storage headroom to inform hardware planning
• Find root causes of regressions with developers, DBAs and platform teams
• Present performance and capacity findings to leadership for release approval
Requirements
• 7+ years in performance engineering/testing of enterprise web applications
• Hands-on JMeter plus one more tool (Artillery, k6, Gatling or Locust)
• Kubernetes/OpenShift (kubectl, oc, Helm, Kustomize)
• Prometheus and Grafana for bottleneck analysis
• Strong SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
• Capacity planning for fixed, on-premises infrastructure
• Playwright or similar for UI performance testing
• Python, JavaScript or Java scripting
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with leadership
