About the Role We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the technical design, development, and evolution of a Kubernetes-based compute platform. This role focuses on building a reliable, scalable, secure, and consistent infrastructure foundation that enables engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality features at scale. Key Responsibilities • Lead the technical direction of high-impact engineering initiatives. • Mentor and guide geographically distributed engineering teams. • Identify and implement opportunities to improve platform efficiency and reduce cloud infrastructure costs. • Align cross-functional teams on project objectives, deliverables, expected outcomes, and timelines. • Manage project prioritization, schedules, and delivery commitments. • Contribute to the long-term technical strategy and multi-year cloud platform roadmap. • Design, develop, test, deploy, operate, and continuously improve the Kubernetes-based compute platform. • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and consistent behavior across multiple cloud providers. Requirements • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • 12+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Strong understanding of core cloud infrastructure services, such as Amazon EC2. • Expert-level, hands-on Kubernetes engineering experience, including developing custom Kubernetes controllers and designing Kubernetes admission webhooks. • Proven ability to define technical strategy and deliver large-scale, cross-functional engineering projects. • Strong focus on infrastructure efficiency, availability, quality, and developer experience.
