About the Role We are looking for an experienced Platform Operations Engineer with strong hands-on Ceph Storage experience to support production storage services for on-premises Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms. Key Responsibilities • Operate and maintain Ceph storage clusters and OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF). • Monitor cluster health, capacity, latency, throughput and placement groups. • Manage OSD/node replacement, recovery, rebalancing and routine maintenance. • Troubleshoot storage failures, network issues and performance bottlenecks. • Execute upgrades, patching and storage capacity expansion. • Support Ceph CSI, RBD, CephFS and Kubernetes persistent volumes. • Perform storage benchmarking, incident management and root-cause analysis. • Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Python and shell scripting. • Support backup, snapshots, replication and disaster recovery. Requirements • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in storage engineering or platform operations. • Hands-on production experience with Ceph Storage. • Knowledge of ODF, Kubernetes, OpenShift and Linux administration. • Experience in storage monitoring, capacity planning, upgrades and recovery. • Understanding of HDD, SSD, NVMe, HBA, firmware and storage networking. • Experience in performance benchmarking and troubleshooting. • Automation skills using Ansible, Python or shell scripting. • Knowledge of backup, replication and disaster recovery.
