About the Role We are seeking a PostgreSQL DBA to join our team and play a key role in building and supporting database infrastructure. This position involves working closely with various technical teams to ensure database performance and integrity. Key Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain database server software, applying patches to PostgreSQL databases • Create high availability clusters and disaster recovery plans • Monitor database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues • Create database objects such as tables, views, triggers, and indexes • Perform regular database backups to ensure data integrity • Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on the database server Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field • Minimum 4 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA • Experience administering PostgreSQL databases, particularly versions 16 and higher • Proficiency in SQL and advanced SQL • Experience with database and SQL tuning using PostgreSQL • Knowledge of PostgreSQL backup and restore procedures • Experience in security access control • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Highly motivated, able to work both in a team and solo • Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure • At least 3+ years of hands-on EDB administration experience • Experience with EFM, Search Path, EPAS Advanced Database administration, VACUUM, pgbouncer, pgpool, EFM and streaming replication, Logical replication, PEM for monitoring, MTK for migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL, and Backup and recovery Tool Preferred Qualifications • Certification in PostgreSQL • Experience with PGD • Experience with MongoDB • Experience with Microsoft Azure • Experience with other databases like Oracle
