About the Role
We are seeking a PostgreSQL Developer / Database Engineer to join our client's team. This role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale PostgreSQL database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement logical and physical data models
• Develop complex SQL queries and PL/pgSQL code
• Optimize database performance through indexing and tuning
• Implement high availability and replication strategies
• Manage database tooling and monitoring
• Develop ETL/ELT processes
• Work with cloud database platforms
• Ensure data security and compliance
Requirements
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL database
• Strong background in database architecture and design
• Proficiency in SQL development and query optimization
• Knowledge of performance tuning and indexing techniques
• Experience with high availability and replication
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL tooling
• Understanding of data quality and governance
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes
• Programming skills in Python, Java, and Bash
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
• Understanding of RBAC and data security practices
