About the Role We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards, reporting solutions, and data visualizations. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business users • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from multiple sources • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets, including student loan and forbearance data • Create complex Power BI custom visualizations based on business requirements • Migrate existing Tableau and Crystal Reports to Power BI • Configure and maintain Power BI Service within the Power Platform environment • Develop data refresh strategies using Azure SQL Server and other applicable data sources • Implement reporting security, accessibility, and access management best practices • Perform root cause analysis of data issues and reporting anomalies • Gather business requirements, document business rules, and identify reporting enhancements • Develop technical documentation, user manuals, and project status reports • Provide Power BI training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to business users • Ensure all reports meet performance, accessibility, and business requirements Requirements • Minimum 5 years of advanced Power BI development experience • Strong SQL query writing and data extraction experience • Experience with Power BI Service and Power Platform configuration • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and data refresh strategies • Experience with Tableau and Crystal Reports migration to Power BI • Experience in data validation, preferably student loan data, including forbearance data • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior leadership • Strong presentation, training, and stakeholder management skills
