Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Transmission and Distribution network models using pandapower and Python
• Convert existing CYME and GE PSLF models into pandapower equivalents
• Validate network topology, electrical parameters, operating limits, and power flow results
• Collaborate with NVIDIA engineers on GPU-accelerated power flow solutions using CUDA libraries
• Benchmark CPU versus GPU performance for power system simulations
• Work with power engineers, data scientists, and HPC specialists
• Document modeling assumptions, validation results, and technical findings
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably Power Systems
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC power flow analysis and T&D network modeling
• Understanding of per-unit systems and electrical network parameters
• Hands-on experience with power system planning tools such as CYME or GE PSLF
• Programming experience, preferably Python
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in transmission or distribution planning studies
• Familiarity with pandapower or other open-source power system frameworks
• Understanding of Y-bus matrices, Jacobian matrices, PTDF/LODF, and power system analysis
• Exposure to NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA libraries, or high-performance computing
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
