About the Role We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Cotiviti. This senior role focuses on leading technical architecture and mentoring engineers in a healthcare and life sciences environment. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement complex software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and React • Lead code reviews and mentor 4–8 engineers • Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs • Implement event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka • Manage delivery, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder communication Requirements • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience • Experience leading and mentoring engineers • Strong architecture, code review, and technical decision-making skills • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and security practices • Healthcare domain experience is beneficial Benefits • Opportunity to work in a remote-first environment • Chance to lead and influence technical direction • Collaborative and innovative team culture
