About the Role We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join Cotiviti, a company in the Healthcare & Life Sciences industry. This is a technical leadership role that requires hands-on development skills and architectural expertise. Key Responsibilities • Architect scalable microservices • Lead engineering teams and provide technical leadership • Leverage AI coding tools like Claude to improve software development • Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers • Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects • Drive engineering best practices and Agile delivery Requirements • 10+ years of experience in software engineering • Strong hands-on Java development skills • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data • Proficiency with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and query optimization • Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture • Knowledge of React, Angular, or Vue • Experience with Claude AI / Claude Code • Understanding of microservices and distributed systems Benefits • Opportunity to work in the Healthcare & Life Sciences industry • Chance to lead engineering teams and make architectural decisions
