About the Role We are recruiting an experienced Production Engineer for a heavy steel fabrication facility in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. This role requires strong workshop leadership experience and hands-on expertise in various industrial fabrication areas. Key Responsibilities • Plan and manage workshop fabrication activities and production schedules • Allocate manpower, materials and equipment to meet project deadlines • Supervise welding, fabrication quality and production performance • Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement and Project teams • Lead workshop teams to achieve productivity, safety and quality targets Requirements • 6–10 years of relevant production engineering experience in heavy steel fabrication workshops • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline • Mandatory hands-on experience across pressure vessels, process skids, storage tanks, piping spools and skid packages • Strong knowledge of ASME, API and AWS fabrication codes and standards • Practical understanding of TIG, MIG, SMAW and SAW welding processes • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, isometric drawings and material specifications • Proven experience supervising 50+ workshop personnel • Strong production planning, resource allocation, productivity monitoring and HSE compliance skills • Preferred: Previous experience in UAE/GCC fabrication workshops
