About the Role We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Ruby, Rails, backend development, database management, API integration, and application performance optimization. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Ruby and Ruby on Rails. • Design and implement RESTful APIs, backend services, and application integrations. • Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components. • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services. • Write automated tests using RSpec, Minitest, or similar testing frameworks. • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance. • Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding standards. • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product managers. • Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, and production releases. Requirements • 4+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development. • Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails MVC architecture, ActiveRecord, and REST APIs. • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL queries, and database optimization. • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend integration. • Experience with Git, automated testing, and debugging. • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, application security, and performance tuning. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
