About the Role We are seeking a Scala Developer to join our team and work on developing and maintaining customized Scala Digital Signage applications. This role involves designing reusable Python libraries and frameworks for multiple signage solutions. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain customized Scala Digital Signage applications and supporting Python software • Design reusable Python libraries and frameworks for multiple signage solutions • Integrate applications with external systems, APIs, data sources, sensors, and hardware • Troubleshoot production issues across applications, players, networking, and display hardware • Work directly with client stakeholders to deliver and support production solutions Requirements • Strong Python development and software architecture experience • Experience with Scala Digital Signage platform and Scala Content Manager • Knowledge of Scala Player, FrameSets, Screen Regions, Playlists, Channels & Scheduling • Object-oriented Python development and reusable libraries/frameworks • Experience with REST APIs, external system integrations & database connectivity • Socket Programming and network-level Python development • Event Processing and Event-Driven Systems • Digital Signage Content Deployment, Publishing & Troubleshooting • Hardware Integration, Sensors & Device Drivers • Production Support and Distributed-System Troubleshooting • Windows-Based Production Environments • Application Packaging, Deployment & Automation
