About the Role We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to join a major Queensland Government ICT transformation program. This role focuses on providing security architecture leadership across a complex digital transformation, ensuring enterprise solutions are secure by design, compliant and aligned with government security standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead security architecture across large scale cloud, digital, data and integration platforms. • Develop security architecture principles, standards and governance frameworks. • Provide security leadership across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Databricks. • Lead threat modelling, security risk assessments, design reviews and assurance activities. • Define security controls across identity management, privileged access, encryption, monitoring and information protection. • Support IRAP assessments, security accreditation, privacy compliance and audit readiness. Requirements • Strong background in Security Architecture within complex enterprise environments. • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Security, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Purview and Dynamics 365. • Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, IAM and cloud security controls. • Experience with Queensland Government security frameworks including IS18, QGEA and information privacy requirements. • Knowledge of IRAP, ASD Essential Eight and ISO 27001. • Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders, technical teams and vendors. • Previous experience within Government or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded. • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA or Microsoft Azure Security certifications are highly desirable.
