About the Role We are looking for a Senior AWS Solutions Architect with 10+ years of IT experience to lead a large-scale modernization initiative involving migration of mission-critical Sybase ASE transactional systems to PostgreSQL on AWS NextGen Cloud. Key Responsibilities • Design and architect enterprise AWS cloud solutions • Lead end-to-end architecture for migration to host the Sybase ASE/IQ to PostgreSQL Database • Define cloud adoption strategies, target-state architectures, and migration roadmaps • Design scalable, highly available, secure, and resilient AWS environments • Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CloudFormation • Define security, governance, and compliance standards • Build and support CI/CD and DevOps practices • Optimize cloud performance, availability, and costs • Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership • Define migration patterns including schema conversion, data migration, CDC replication, cutover, and rollback strategies Requirements • 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in AWS architecture • Strong experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, Glue, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway, AWS Schema Conversion Tool • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Github, Jenkins) • Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Migration Strategy • Knowledge of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and disaster recovery • Scripting/programming experience in Python, Java, or similar languages • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
