Senior DevOps Engineer

Urgently Hiring!!! *SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER* Location: Lagos, Nigeria Sector Financial Services | Digital Banking The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead the bank's infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline development, cloud operations, and platform reliability functions. This is a critical technical role responsible for ensuring that the bank's digital products and services are delivered, deployed, and maintained at the highest levels of availability, security, and performance. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* • Design, build, and maintain the bank's CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and deployment infrastructure. • Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency. • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack). • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, and IT security to accelerate delivery and reduce deployment risk. • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes for platform outages and degradations. • Implement and enforce DevSecOps practices, integrating security controls into the software delivery lifecycle. • Manage containerisation and orchestration platforms using Docker and Kubernetes. • Maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity infrastructure. • Champion a culture of automation, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement across the technology team. *REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS* • Minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. • At least 5 years of DevOps or cloud engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (certification is a strong advantage). • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI. • Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). • Competency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, or Go. • Familiarity with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and NDPA security standards within a financial services environment. • Experience in banking, fintech, or payment systems infrastructure is highly preferred. • Relevant certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent.
