About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to build and maintain high-scale, mission-critical web applications for Indeed's Payments Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React, TypeScript, micro-frontend architecture, GraphQL, and Apollo Client, along with a strong focus on production reliability, performance, accessibility, and automated testing. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain React-based micro-frontends and web applications for the Payments Platform. • Implement new payment methods and enhance existing platform capabilities. • Build reusable, scalable UI components using React and TypeScript. • Develop and maintain micro-frontend architectures using Webpack Module Federation or equivalent technologies. • Integrate GraphQL APIs using Apollo Client, including queries, mutations, caching, and type-safe hooks. • Build and validate complex forms and client-side navigation using React Router. • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability. • Troubleshoot production issues and improve frontend telemetry, monitoring, and performance. • Ensure accessibility, internationalization, and consistency with shared design systems. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and collaborative Git workflows. • Work closely with backend engineers to define API contracts and resolve distributed-systems challenges. • Use AI coding assistants responsibly while maintaining code quality, security, and correctness. Requirements • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent. • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in product-based companies. • Strong hands-on expertise in React and TypeScript. • Excellent understanding of functional components, React Hooks, Context API, and custom hooks. • Experience with micro-frontends and Webpack Module Federation or similar architectures. • Strong GraphQL knowledge and practical experience with Apollo Client. • Experience with Webpack, SCSS/CSS Modules, and Styled Components. • Proficiency in Jest and React Testing Library, plus Cypress, Playwright, or TestCafe. • Experience with frontend production support, debugging, telemetry, feature flags, and gradual rollouts. • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, ESLint, and Prettier. • Exposure to backend services, asynchronous messaging, and distributed systems.
