About the Role We are looking for a Senior Python Application Developer to join Verizon Business Group. This role requires extensive experience in Python application development and working with various database systems. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Python applications • Work with SQL and relational databases • Implement REST APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework • Manage database migrations, query optimization, and indexing • Utilize Git and CI/CD pipelines for version control and deployment • Deploy applications using Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Requirements • 10+ years of professional software development experience • Strong Python application development skills • Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) • Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) • Knowledge of ORM, preferably SQLAlchemy • Understanding of SOLID principles and software design patterns • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Benefits • Opportunity to work with a leading business group • Chance to work on cutting-edge technologies • Flexible remote work arrangement
