About the Role We are looking for Senior Software Engineers with expertise in both Java and Python to join our team. This is a 12-month contract opportunity working remotely with a global client. Key Responsibilities • Modernize existing geospatial data processes using distributed computing platforms • Develop and optimize data solutions, SQL scripts and backend applications • Work with technical and domain experts on solution design and implementation • Manage AWS infrastructure and support DevOps processes • Participate in code reviews, debugging and troubleshooting • Collaborate with teams in an Agile environment and ensure timely delivery Requirements • 5–7 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer • Strong hands-on experience in both Java and Python • Experience in Data Engineering and Backend Development • Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly AWS Big Data services • Strong experience in SQL Server • Experience with Kubernetes and distributed computing • CI/CD experience (Jenkins/GitLab CI) • Knowledge of Groovy and Gradle/Maven is good to have • Product company experience is preferred
