About the Role We are looking for a skilled Software Product Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on managing software issue backlogs, driving product defect investigations, and coordinating cross-functional teams to support product quality and lifecycle management in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Manage and prioritize software defect backlogs and product issues • Lead investigations to determine defect causes, severity, impact, and risk • Document investigation findings, risk assessments, and issue resolutions • Maintain accurate and auditable quality records in JIRA • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Systems, and other cross-functional teams • Track project deadlines, drive issue resolution, and escalate safety-critical product concerns Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of relevant professional experience • Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or automotive is highly preferred • Strong understanding of software quality, defect management, risk assessment, and issue tracking • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; JIRA experience is valuable Important: This position is W2 only.
