About the Role We are looking for a Solution Engineering Developer to join Ally Bank in Charlotte, NC. This role involves building intelligent tools to help detect if a human or bot is trying to login or purchase using the bank, focusing on AI and security applications. Key Responsibilities • Translate enterprise architecture direction into working solutions, reusable patterns & MVPs • Partner with Enterprise Architects, Security, Product Owners & Engineering teams to identify high-value capabilities • Design & build MVPs for shared platform capabilities like Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA), Token Services, Identity & Access Patterns • Translate reference architectures into secure, testable, working software • Evaluate technologies via focused prototypes & provide evidence-based recommendations • Create reusable code, IaC templates, APIs, automated tests & implementation patterns • Define measurable MVP success criteria - demonstrate functional, security, performance & resiliency outcomes • Plan clear transition from MVP to production ownership with receiving teams • Prepare handoff materials - ADRs, source code, deployment guides, support docs & provide KT sessions • Capture lessons learned & contribute proven patterns to EA standards Requirements • AWS platform & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Strong • Experience configuring, operating & troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines • Experience implementing Distributed Systems at Production Scale • Proficiency in Node.js / TypeScript (PREFERRED) or Python - Willing to learn new stack is a must • Senior hands-on backend/platform engineer mindset
