Spanish-English Medical Interpreter

We Medical Interpreting & Translation Center Lingtopia Group are looking for Experience US Based Spanish and English remote medical interpreters. Responsibilities: • Answer calls in a professional manner, acting according to the Interpreter's code of conduct, HIPAA and FWA. • Be always prepared to take notes during a call. • Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically). • Participate in an in-house professional training. • Communicate and report to your team leader. • Provide accurate and impartial interpretation services during medical consultations, medical terminology, procedures, instructions, information between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals and other healthcare interactions. • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions. • Participate in workshops and coaching opportunities to enhance your interpreting skills. Qualifications: • Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language (Spanish). • 1+ years of medical interpreting experience. • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems. • International certifications in the healthcare industry are a plus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.). • High school or equivalent diploma. • Strong emotional intelligence and a deep respect for diverse cultures. • High level of communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills. • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to interpret between the two languages seamlessly. • Strong ethical principles and a commitment to patient-centered care. • Certification as a medical interpreter or equivalent experience preferred. • Taking a Language, Terminology testing, and background check is required. Requirements: • Since this position is fully remote, you should comply with several technical requirements for your computer. We need to ensure that your home office will work effectively. • Must Live in the United States. • Have a legal working permit or status to work in the US. • Serious commitment. • Must have flexible availability for calls. • Considered candidates are required to pass our language proficiency assessment.
