About the Role We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Developer for a remote W2 contract opportunity with our client. This role focuses on developing and maintaining database systems using PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server • Write advanced SQL, T-SQL, and PL/pgSQL code • Develop stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers • Optimize queries and tune database performance • Analyze execution plans, implement indexing strategies, and model data • Utilize CTEs, joins, window functions, and complex queries • Troubleshoot deadlock, locking, and blocking issues • Handle data migration, validation, and database integration • Use pgAdmin and SQL Server Management Studio for database management Requirements • 5+ years of relevant database development experience • Strong skills in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server • Proficiency in Advanced SQL, T-SQL, and PL/pgSQL • Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers • Knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning • Understanding of execution plans, indexing, and data modeling • Familiarity with CTEs, joins, window functions, and complex queries • Ability to troubleshoot deadlock, locking, and blocking issues • Experience with data migration, validation, and database integration • Proficiency with pgAdmin and SQL Server Management Studio
