About the Role We are looking for a Staff Engineer – AI-Native / AI Orchestrator to join Cotiviti. This role focuses on combining strong Java development skills with AI-assisted engineering to build secure, scalable, production-ready applications. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain production-grade Java applications • Use AI coding tools to accelerate development • Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code • Develop REST APIs and optimize database structures • Improve testing, debugging, and engineering workflows • Guide a small engineering team and collaborate with technical leadership Requirements • Strong hands-on Java development experience • Experience with Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI coding tools • Oracle and PostgreSQL database design skills • REST APIs and backend services development • Full-stack application development and integration • AI-assisted code generation, debugging, and refactoring • Automated testing and AI-generated code validation • Software architecture, secure coding, and performance optimization
