About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to design and build a GPU/HPC platform on AWS SageMaker HyperPod for a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical client. Key Responsibilities • Build and deploy an AWS SageMaker HyperPod platform • Modernize R&D workloads from on-prem HPC and EC2 • Implement GPU scheduling, orchestration, and resource management • Lead pilot workloads and collaborate with research scientists • Provide technical leadership to a small offshore team Requirements • Kubernetes/EKS: GPU scheduling, Run or Kueue, gang scheduling, quotas, preemption • HPC: Slurm/PBS, MPI, AWS EFA networking • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform/CDK, CI/CD, drift detection • HyperPod: Ability to independently build a working sandbox within 2 weeks • US-based, authorized to work in the US, and available November 2026 Preferred • Life sciences/pharma R&D experience • AWS Solutions Architect Professional or CKA certification
