About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Technical Team Lead to lead backend and full-stack development across our financial technology platforms, including payment services and business applications. This role requires combining strong technical expertise with team leadership to build scalable, secure, and reliable systems. Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and support developers, ensuring high engineering standards and quality delivery • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices • Build reliable payment and transaction workflows with robust error handling, retries, idempotency, and reconciliation • Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schemas, transactions, indexing, and query performance • Develop backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS or a comparable framework • Implement Redis, message queues, and background jobs for resilient, high-performance processing • Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and security teams to deliver production-ready applications • Drive code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, production monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement Requirements • 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years leading developers or technical delivery • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS or a similar backend framework • Solid understanding of backend architecture, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems • Strong PostgreSQL skills, including database design, transactions, indexing, and query optimization • Practical experience with Redis, message queues, background processing, and third-party integrations • Working knowledge of React.js or Next.js and frontend-to-backend integration • Experience with authentication, authorization, secure coding practices, Git, Docker, automated testing, and CI/CD • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills • Experience in fintech or payment processing, including payment gateways, digital wallets, payouts, settlements, or reconciliation
