Senior Web Content Writer – Education Sector Job Title: Senior Web Content Writer (Education Sector) Client: State of Texas Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Contract Type: C2C Eligibility: Local Texas Candidates

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Strategy: Analyze best practices from other states/agencies; develop content strategies for diverse audiences. Content Creation: Write, edit, and fact-check web content focused on education initiatives (especially early childhood). Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX designers, developers, and cross-agency teams to align content with user needs. Optimization: Enhance SEO, user experience, and site performance using tools like Google Analytics; provide dynamic project updates. Quality Assurance: Maintain brand voice, grammar, and tone; ensure compliance with agency standards. Project Management: Meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 12+ years in web content writing, digital marketing, or content strategy.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SEO, content analytics, and CMS tools. Basic graphic editing (Photoshop/Illustrator).

Content Expertise: Portfolio demonstrating impactful writing for diverse audiences. Documented work in early childhood education or public sector. Collaboration: Proven success working with multi-agency teams.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.

Soft Skills: Organized, creative, and resourceful with independent problem-solving ability.

Preferred Assets Experience in government/education sectors. Background in performance tracking and content strategy for large-scale projects.
