Task Type Interpreting (Hour) Source Language English Target Language Spanish Uni: Hour Description: We are seeking Spanish translation and interpretation services to support a group of 20 companies, including meetings with corporations and individuals. We will be in Johannesburg for 1.5 days and in Durban for 1.5 days. we will need at least 15 interpreters with following specifications. NOVEMBER 4,5,6 • Business meetings will be conducted with consecutive interpretation. (During the meetings, the interpreter will wait for the speaker to finish a sentence or complete an idea, and then translate it into the other language.) • We estimate the need for 15 interpreters – one interpreter per business table, as there will be at least 15 multispectral buyers. Johannesburg • 9:00 AM to 10:40 AM: Simultaneous interpretation for the conference (During the conference, the interpreter will translate in real time as the speaker talks, without pauses.) • 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM: Consecutive interpretation, 15 interpreters (Spanish/English) • 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM: Lunch • 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM: Consecutive interpretation, 15 interpreters (Spanish/English) Durban Day 1 • 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM: Simultaneous interpretation for the conference • 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM: Consecutive interpretation, 15 interpreters (Spanish/English) (business meetings) • 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Consecutive interpretation, 15 interpreters (Spanish/English) (business meetings) Day 2 • 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM: Simultaneous interpretation for the visit to Durban Port • 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Visit to marketing and distribution channels – 5 interpreters required
