Mandarin Interpreter Job

📢 WE ARE HIRING – MANDARIN TRANSLATOR (OUTSOURCED) 📍 Placement: Makassar, South Sulawesi – ZTE Project Site

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Mandarin Translator to support a national-scale telecommunications project with ZTE in Makassar. This position is under an outsourced employment arrangement and will play a critical role in bridging communication between Chinese-speaking managers and local employees or customers.

Responsibilities: - Provide accurate oral interpretation between Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia (and vice versa) during meetings, site visits, and daily operations - Assist Chinese-speaking managers in communicating with local employees, vendors, and clients - Translate project-related documents and technical instructions as needed - Facilitate smooth and clear communication to support daily project activities - Maintain confidentiality of all translated content and internal communications - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency and alignment

Requirements: - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in any major - Proven experience as a translator/interpreter in a professional environment (preferably in telecommunications or related industries) - Minimum Mandarin proficiency level: HSK 3 (MANDATORY) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia - Ability to understand and translate technical and operational terminology - Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure - Willing to be based on-site in Makassar and work in shifts if required
