📝 Job Opportunity – Qualified Translator 📝 📍 Location: Damascus, Syria 🏥 Organization: Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – Switzerland MSF is seeking a Qualified Translator to support its humanitarian mission in Syria by providing professional translation and interpretation services, ensuring accurate communication, cultural sensitivity, and respect for MSF values. 🔹 Key Responsibilities: Perform written and oral translation/interpretation across medical, logistical, and administrative fields. Ensure confidentiality, neutrality, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions. Support with administrative tasks (meeting arrangements, minute-taking, reporting, filing). Assist supervisors in communication with MoH counterparts and authorities. Provide cultural insights to improve collaboration and contextual understanding. Report potential conflicts of interest and uphold MSF’s Code of Conduct and security standards. 🔹 Candidate Profile: Education: University degree (health-related degree an asset) + professional training in Translation/Interpretation (mandatory). Experience: Minimum 2 years in translation/interpretation (NGO/MSF experience desirable). Languages: Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
