Japanese Linguist Job

The Department of Asian Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Williams College invites applications for a three-year visiting appointment in Japanese, to start July 1, 2026. Williams College aims to appoint a Visiting Assistant Professor who will be responsible for teaching four courses over two semesters, as well as meaningful participation in the Winter Study curriculum in January. They seek a candidate who can teach all levels of Japanese language courses in close coordination with departmental colleagues. The candidate’s expected specialization can include linguistics, second language acquisition, cultural studies, literature, or any related field. The deadline to apply is October 22, 2025.
