Translation Team Member (Manga & Light Novels – Translation & Design) 📍 Mantra Inc. – Tokyo, Japan (On-site)

At Mantra, our mission is simple: Delivering manga across language barriers. We work with Japan’s top publishers to bring manga and light novels to fans worldwide using our proprietary localization software, Mantra Engine. Beyond manga, we’re also expanding into light novels, anime, and more Japanese entertainment!

Now’s your chance to be part of the localization process and work hands-on with major titles.

⭐️ What You’ll Do

- Review Japanese-to-English translations and layouts - Typeset/letter manga using Mantra Engine (with occasional Photoshop/Clip Studio tasks) - Assist with translation or production tasks

✅ What We’re Looking For

- Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or higher, or equivalent) - Strong English skills for natural, engaging translation review - Experience with Photoshop or Clip Studio - Ability to commute to our Iidabashi office (Tokyo) on-site M/W/F - Already hold a valid work visa for Japan (when applicable)

💯 Nice to Have:

- Manga/webtoon typesetting/lettering experience - Prior J→E translation experience - Attention to detail (even on repetitive tasks)

📌 Employment Details

Part-time, on-site in Tokyo (3-month probation) Wage: ¥1,200/hour + full transportation coverage Hours: 10:00–18:00 (Mon/Wed/Fri required)

📍 Office Location: Sumitomo Fudosan Iidabashi Building 2F, 2-3-21 Koraku, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 112-0004 (8 min walk from Iidabashi Station)
