We’re looking for a part-time Research Assistant to join the editorial team of JODDASH Journal (Journal of Digital Discourse and Social Harm) — based in NYC or remote from Europe / US / Canada.

This role is ideal for an MA or PhD student with a background in 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀. You’ll work closely with our Research Lead and international team on:

* Investigating and mapping the research field (new publications, scholars, networks) * Preparing events, symposia, and journal issues * Reviewing and quality-assessing papers and essays * Supporting editorial workflows and candidate pre-selection

We welcome candidates with experience in qualitative and quantitative methods, and those curious about LLM-based approaches to analyzing online discourse.
