#hiring Freelance Translator/Editor (English → Brazilian Portuguese)

We are looking for a talented freelance translator/editor to join our network and support ongoing projects from English into Brazilian Portuguese.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate and localize a variety of texts from English into Brazilian Portuguese, ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and consistency with client guidelines. Edit and review translations for linguistic quality, terminology, and style. Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work. Follow established glossaries, style guides, and client-specific instructions.

Requirements:

Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker (MANDATORY). Proven experience translating and editing from English into Brazilian Portuguese. Strong grasp of grammar, style, and linguistic nuances in both languages. Experience with CAT tools (e.g., Studio, memoQ, XTM, etc). Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. Availability for freelance, project-based work.

Nice to Have:

Specialization in areas such as marketing, technical, legal, or medical translation. Familiarity with localization best practices and cultural adaptation.
