Position: Chinese Translator (02 Positions) Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda Type: Full-time

About the Role Treesheds Consults Uganda Limited, on behalf of our client, is urgently seeking to recruit two (02) qualified Chinese Translators to support daily communication, translation, and interpretation needs between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and local teams. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication in business, administrative, and technical settings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide accurate verbal and written translation between Chinese and English in meetings, reports, and correspondence.

Assist management in interpreting business documents, contracts, and technical manuals.

Support communication during official visits, conferences, and business negotiations.

Facilitate effective communication between Chinese staff/partners and Ugandan staff.

Ensure translation accuracy while considering cultural context and sensitivity.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all translation assignments.

Perform any other duties related to translation and communication support as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese and Asian Studies or a related field.

1–2 years of proven working experience in translation/interpretation.

Strong command of Chinese (Mandarin) and English (both written and spoken).

Familiarity with business, administrative, and technical vocabulary.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
