Malay Content Strategist Job

Position Title: Social Media Executive Location: Kuala Lumpur Reporting To: Head of Social Media and Marketing Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a creative, analytical, and digitally savvy Social Media Executive to lead our social media strategy and execution across platforms. This role is responsible for crafting compelling content, engaging with our online community, and driving performance through paid advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of digital trends, excellent copywriting skills, and a passion for building brand presence online.

Key Responsibilities 1. Content Planning & Copywriting Develop and execute content calendars for all major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) Write engaging, brand-aligned copy tailored to each platform and audience segment Collaborate with design and video teams to produce multimedia content Community Engagement Monitor social media channels for customer inquiries, comments, and brand mentions Respond promptly and professionally to queries, escalating issues when necessary Track sentiment and engagement metrics to inform future content strategy.

2. Paid Advertising Management Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across platforms (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Display, etc.) Monitor ad performance and adjust targeting, creative, and budgets to maximize ROI Prepare monthly reports on campaign effectiveness and key performance indicators

3. Analytics & Reporting Use tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and native platform insights to track performance Provide actionable recommendations based on data trends and audience behavior Stay updated on algorithm changes, platform updates, and emerging social media tools.

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (mandatory). 2–4 years of experience in social media management and paid digital advertising Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with attention to tone and voice. Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer) Familiarity with ad platforms and campaign optimization techniques.
