About the Role:

InterLingua Pro International, LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Spanish Medical Interpreter to join our dynamic team in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for individuals passionate about language access and cultural bridging in healthcare settings. As a Spanish Interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating accurate and compassionate communication between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking providers. Responsibilities include real-time interpretation during medical appointments (in-person and via video), occasional translation of written documents, and providing cultural insights to support understanding and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken communication between Spanish and English in medical settings Translate simple written materials when needed Participate in both in-person and virtual appointments Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Support culturally appropriate communication to ensure patient understanding

Required Qualifications: Minimum 40-hour Interpreter Training Certificate (We can assist you in obtaining this if needed) Fluency in both English and Spanish (speaking, listening, and comprehension) Previous experience in interpretation and/or translation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of cultural competence and sensitivity Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical, legal, or educational interpreting Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Interpretation, or related field National certification (CHI and/or CMI)
