WE ARE HIRING! 🥳 Job Title: Independent Interpreter (Short-term Contract Role – On-site in Cap-Haitien, Haiti)

Role Description: This is a contract-based, on-site role for an Independent Interpreter located in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. The Interpreter will be responsible for delivering accurate and professional interpretation services in various contexts, including legal, administrative, medical, and community settings.

Responsibilities: - Provide accurate and confidential consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between English, Haitian Creole, and French. - Translate spoken and/or written materials as needed. - Maintain professional conduct and neutrality at all times. - Ensure cultural accuracy and sensitivity in all communications. - Support clients and organizational partners in achieving clear and effective communication. - Manage schedules and assignments in a timely and organized manner.

Qualifications: - Fluency in English, Haitian Creole, and French (spoken and written). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated cultural understanding and sensitivity, with the ability to accurately convey meaning across different contexts. - Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion. - Previous experience in interpretation or translation services. - Relevant certifications or training in interpretation or translation are an asset. - Punctuality, reliability, and professional demeanor are essential.
