Junior API & JSON Documentation Associate

Position Title: API & Documentation Associate Location: On-site - DHA Phase 1 Islamabad Type: Full Time Role Overview We are looking for a motivated individual with a basic understanding of JSON and the ability to work with API documentation. The role involves supporting developers and technical writers in preparing, updating, and maintaining clear, structured API references and usage guides. Key Responsibilities Understand and work with JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data structures.

Assist in reading, formatting, and validating JSON files.

Help in preparing and updating API documentation (request/response formats, endpoints, parameters, status codes).

Coordinate with developers to capture API workflows and write simple usage examples.

Perform basic API testing using tools like Postman, Curl, or similar tools.

Ensure technical documentation is clear, consistent, and easy to understand.

Required Skills Basic knowledge of JSON syntax (key-value pairs, objects, arrays).

Familiarity with REST APIs and understanding of how APIs are consumed.

Ability to read and draft simple API request/response examples.

Good written communication skills for documenting technical workflows.

Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or Insomnia (basic level).

Nice-to-Have (Optional) Experience in working with API documentation tools (Swagger, Redoc, Postman Collections).

Exposure to JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting languages.

Understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and status codes.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not mandatory).

Fresh graduates or individuals with 0–2 years of experience in technical documentation or API testing are encouraged to apply.
