Localization Specialist Job

I am inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under the ISRO-sponsored project “SkyLARC: Development of Long-Range Joint Ranging and Communication for UAVs.”

🛰️ About the Project: SkyLARC aims to develop next-generation UAV communication and localization systems utilizing long-range LoRa-based joint ranging and communication architectures. The work combines embedded system design, signal processing, and machine learning for robust GPS-free UAV coordination — a step toward autonomous swarms for future space and aerial missions.

👩‍💻 Position: Junior Research Fellow (01) 🏛️ Department: Electronics and Communication Engineering, IIT Roorkee 💰 Emoluments: ₹37,000 + HRA per month 🕒 Duration: Initially 1 year (extendable by another year based on performance)

🔧 Desired Skills: Embedded system design (ESP32, nRF, STM32) PCB design and fabrication Communication stack development Programming in ESP-IDF, Python, MATLAB Strong understanding of linear algebra, probability, and machine learning
